Gary Pierce of Chipman Woodworks in Long Lake, NY will be at the ADKX and sharing his process and craft with members. Gary is a talented wood artisan who creates beautiful and functional woodcrafts, hand turned using local hardwood from the Adirondacks.

He has a talent with a block of wood and a lathe and is a tireless creator of functional wood products, most specifically gorgeous bowls which are stunning pieces of functional art.

Gary will guide the audience through his process of creation from selecting the material, its acquisition, type and history, to carefully finishing the product with mineral oil which yields a beautiful rich luster.

A raffle at the end of the program for all attendees will determine the lucky person who will go home with one of Gary’s signature bowls.

There will be a limited supply of Chipman Woodworks products available for purchase. You can also find Gary and his creations at The Natural Edge of Long Lake and at farmers markets and fairs throughout the region.
