Master Sommelier Christopher Bates, the 2013 winner of the Best Sommelier in America (TopSomm) and Best Young Sommelier in the World, will lead a wine tasting at the museum.

Christopher was also voted one of the Super Sommeliers to Watch in 2025 by Sommelier Business. With nearly 25 years of hospitality experience in all aspects of restaurant and hotel operations, Christopher, and his wife Isabel, founded F.L.X. Hospitality in 2014, in the Finger Lakes region, and now operate and oversee all operations. In 2017, F.L.X. Table was voted Best New Restaurant in the United States, and in 2018 Best Winery Restaurant in the country by USA Today’s Ten Best Awards. In 2025, the restaurant was nominated for a James Beard award.
