Whether you’re a seasoned hiker or just looking to explore the outdoors with knowledgeable guides, this hike to Castle Rock is a great way to experience the natural beauty of the Adirondacks.

The Castle Rock trail is a moderately easy hike that rewards visitors with a stunning panoramic view of Blue Mt. Lake and the surrounding Adirondack landscape. It is 2.9 miles round trip with an elevation gain of 650 ft. The trail winds through a mix of hardwood forest and rocky terrain, gradually ascending to an open summit. Participants should come prepared for changing weather and trail conditions. Please bring sturdy hiking shoes or boots, plenty of water, and snacks to stay energized. Sunscreen, bug spray, and a light jacket are also recommended. A small backpack is helpful for carrying your essentials, and trekking poles can be useful for uneven sections of the trail.
